Loving the Adriatic

Yesterday we spent the day in Dubrovnik, Croatia - amazing, truly one of the most beautiful cities I've seen.  Rich in history, some very sad history of course with civil war in 1991. They have rebuilt the city, in some cases stone by stone, and then some ! We went by cable car high above the old city and enjoyed the morning sun and the view, oh and a beer ! Then we went by bus to a small fishing village called Cavtat, had a wander and ate ice cream !! There were 5 cruise ships in the harbor so things were fairly chaotic, but a great day nonetheless! After a big night onboard (yet another formal night) and a birthday celebration for one of the chaps from our table at dinner. We have spent a great day in Venice. We did a tour that took in the Doges Palace, St Marks Basilica and of course a Gondola ride ! We ventured through the many little streets, had a delicious lunch and were relieved to get back on the ship for a nice cup of tea !  Venice is unique and amazing - hopefully Wayne has some photos to share !!  Korcula in Croatia tomorrow ! We are having a wonderful holiday, love to all xxx
